| Call for abstractsThe online abstract submission is closedThe presenting author of accepted papers and posters must register for the congress by the 31 January 2012 to have their presentation/poster included in the congress. Online meeting and accommodation registration is now open. Abstracts should be submitted on-line. State clearly whether the submission is for oral presentation only, poster presentation only, or can be presented in either form as deemed appropriate by the Congress Scientific Programme Committee. The language of the congress is English; therefore, all abstracts must be in English. Abstracts should be a maximum of 200 words, consisting of:
In submitting an abstract, the author MUST agree to attend the congress should the abstract be accepted. The presenting author of accepted papers and posters must register for the congress by the 31 January 2012 to have their presentation/poster included in the congress. Abstracts from orthoptic students, medical students ophthalmology residents and fellows, students of vision science and other eye care professions will be accepted. The selection of abstracts by the congress Scientific Programme Committee will be anonymous. Authors of rejected papers will receive feedback explaining the criteria for rejection. Notification of accepted presentations and posters will be sent via email on 2 December 2011. All abstracts submitted will be considered as the final version and no changes will be allowed. As at the XI International Orthoptic Congress in Antwerp, a selection of papers will be published in a supplement to the journal Strabismus. The papers included in this supplement will be selected by the Congress Scientific Programme Committee from all full-text submissions received by 27 April 2012.
